More Affordable Lending Powered by Innovis Tradeline Data

Lower credit costs come down to the right data at the right time — which is exactly what your credit reports should deliver.

Innovis® tradeline data is a standard part of Factual Data credit reports — integrated alongside the three primary bureaus to give lenders a more holistic view of credit and identity risk. It’s built into tools designed to move with the industry as credit reporting requirements and scoring models continue to evolve..

Optional features let you screen files before a Tri-Merge Credit Report and refresh data at no added cost — helping you avoid unrecoverable fees on loans that can't move forward while keeping qualified applicants moving efficiently.

How Innovis Credit Data Works in Your Credit Reports

Innovis credit data enables several practical features, each designed to help every dollar spent on credit work harder. Use one or all of them to help improve your workflow efficiency and assist in reducing unnecessary costs.

Innovis Early View

Affordably Screen for Credit and Identity Risk

Innovis Early View is a low-cost soft pull and identity verification at the beginning of the application process. Credit risk signals are modeled after GSE guidelines and lender-specific rules, identifying hard stops before a Tri-Merge Credit Report is ordered. This low-cost early view helps lenders to only invest in files worth pursuing.

Innovis Refresh

Unlimited Credit Re-Pulls at No Added Cost

  • Innovis Refresh gives lenders access to complete Innovis credit data throughout the loan manufacturing process — with no limit to re-pulls on an active file. Use it at key stages to help keep data current and help reduce risk, without defaulting to heavier tools like a re-pull or rescore just to confirm nothing's changed. Common touchpoints include application processing, pre-LQCC checks, quality control, and extended timelines such as builder loans or extended home searches. This can be especially valuable on long-timeline files: when a new-construction or builder loan stretches months from contract to closing, credit can age well past the original pull. Using Refresh can keep the Innovis data current across that window without re-ordering.

When conditions change, Refresh merges updated Innovis data with the existing report without ordering a new Tri-Merge report — so files stay current without driving up costs. Refresh is available for as long as the report is retained — typically 120 days — after which it archives and the Innovis data can no longer be refreshed.

  • Selective Refresh: Update a Single Tradeline, Leave the Rest Untouched

For situations where only a specific tradeline needs attention, Selective Refresh allows for a targeted refresh — retrieving current Innovis data for the tradeline in question without surfacing unwanted changes elsewhere in the report.

Selective Refresh can also serve as the first step of a reference update: if a creditor has re-reported, use Selective Refresh to obtain a current dataset for that tradeline before proceeding.

VendorView

See the Innovis Tradeline Data Behind the Report at No Added Cost

VendorView gives your team a direct line to the Innovis data behind the merged report. When something in a file needs a closer look — a tradeline that doesn’t add up, a QC review, a compliance question — VendorView shows exactly what Innovis returned, before any logic was applied. No guesswork about what the data said before it was processed. Just a clear, drilldown view that helps your team move through reviews faster.

Innovis Credit Data: Frequently Asked Questions
What is Innovis credit data?

Innovis credit data is tradeline data provided by Innovis that supplements the three primary bureaus. Factual Data integrates it into its credit reports, giving lenders a more complete view of an applicant and offering innovative workflow options for more affordable lending.

Is Innovis a credit bureau?

Yes. Innovis is a credit bureau, and Factual Data — an Innovis partner — uses Innovis data to supplement the big three (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) inside your credit report rather than as a separate report.

What is Innovis Early View, and how much does it cost?

Innovis Early View is an early-stage, low-cost way to identify credit and identity risk, built on the Factual Data workflow engine and powered by Innovis data. For a low per-applicant cost at origination, it screens a file before you order a full Tri-Merge Credit Report, with risk signals modeled on GSE guidelines so you invest in the files worth pursuing. It applies to Mortgage, Home Equity, Pre-Approval, and Pre-Qualification.

Will Innovis Early View affect the applicant’s credit score?

No. The Innovis pull is a soft inquiry made under an extension-of-credit permissible purpose, so it does not affect the applicant’s credit score.

What does Innovis Early View check for?

It flags both credit and identity risk early — for example, a Social Security number that doesn’t align, or a mortgage tradeline with recent late payments. Factual Data workflow alerts fire on both positive and adverse data, so files route automatically through your process with fewer manual touchpoints. Innovis does not issue a marketplace score (such as VantageScore or FICO); Innovis Early View is about surfacing risk signals, not scoring.

How does Innovis credit data help reduce credit costs?

Innovis credit data is built to take cost out at every stage of the file, not just one. Up front, Innovis Early View screens each applicant for a low cost so you can spot hard stops before paying for a Tri-Merge Credit Report — so you only invest in the files worth pursuing.

Once a file is active, Innovis Refresh lets you re-pull as often as conditions require at no added cost, and Selective Refresh updates a single tradeline without re-ordering the whole report — so aging files, extended home searches, and pre-closing checks don’t turn into repeat charges.

When a file needs a closer look, VendorView opens the underlying tradeline data for a QC or compliance question without another order.

Along the way, Workflow Solutions routes files automatically based on positive and adverse data — cutting manual touchpoints and processing time, and reducing unnecessary inquiries and back-and-forth calls for your applicants.

How does Innovis credit data fit into the industry's move toward credit score modernization?

The mortgage industry is actively re-evaluating credit reporting requirements and scoring models — including how many reports are pulled and which score models are used. Innovis tradeline data is integrated at the report level, not tied to any single scoring model or bureau count, so it can continue to support lenders' workflows as those requirements evolve.

What's next for Innovis credit data at Factual Data?

Factual Data is actively expanding its Innovis credit data capabilities, working with customers across the builder, credit union, and other lending segments to develop new products tailored to their specific needs. Our broader goal is to continue modernizing credit reporting for the mortgage lending industry — building tools that move with the market as housing affordability pressures, lender margin compression, scoring model transitions, and evolving GSE requirements continue to reshape how lenders operate. More announcements are forthcoming.
