Know More with Bureau Express - Trended Credit Data

In compliance with Fannie Mae’s announcement of Desktop Underwriter Version 10.0., Factual Data is excited to announce Bureau Express – Trended Credit Data. This enhanced data will allow lenders to access meaningful historical insight into a borrower’s treatment of debt.

What is Trended Credit Data

  • Trended credit data is a new reporting feature that will provide up to 24 months of historical data for some tradelines when available. 
  • This enhancement was added due to a Fannie Mae initiative announced in October 2015.
  • Update: Fannie Mae has rescheduled the release of DU 10.0 to September 24, 2016.
  • Trended credit data will be provided in new credit reports from TransUnion and Equifax. Experian’s trended credit data may be included in the future.

Key Dates

  • October, 2015: Fannie Mae announces trended credit data and the pending release of Desktop Underwriter Version 10.0.
  • April 1, 2016: Factual Data releases trended credit data to meet Fannie Mae requirements, sending the historical information to Fannie Mae on the lender’s behalf.
  • September 24, 2016: Fannie Mae scheduled to release Desktop Underwriter version 10.0.

  • According to Fannie Mae, the addition of trended credit data in underwriting decisions will not impact the percentage of Approve/Eligible recommendations received or the process for ordering and reissuing credit reports for use in DU.
  • Lenders will get an in-depth look at whether an applicant is a transactor (pays full balance or more than minimum balance each month) or a revolver (makes only the minimum payment and carries a balance from month to month
  • Bureau Express – Trended Credit Data will include several viewing options with an expandable/ collapsible tradeline extension format.
